About NAPSA

Fostering research collaboration between Irish and Atlantic Canadian researchers.

Our Mission

NAPSA (North Atlantic Petroleum Systems Assessment) is dedicated to advancing the understanding of petroleum systems across the North Atlantic region through collaborative research and data sharing between Irish and Atlantic Canadian research institutions.

Our Vision

To be the leading platform for North Atlantic petroleum research collaboration, enabling researchers and industry professionals to share knowledge, access valuable resources, and drive innovation in understanding the region's geological systems.

Our History

NAPSA was established to foster research collaboration between Irish and Atlantic Canadian researchers studying petroleum systems in the North Atlantic. The initiative brings together expertise from both sides of the Atlantic to advance our understanding of this geologically significant region.

Our Partners

NAPSA is supported by the Irish Shelf Petroleum Studies Group (ISPSG) and Nalcor Energy on behalf of the Offshore Geoscience Data Program with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Together, we work to advance petroleum research in the North Atlantic region.
